1970 Challenger R/T Convertible - Yes, a real R/T Convertible.
The colors make it even better! The car is an original FC7 purple
with white interior, white top, and white longitudinal stripe. The
motor is the number matching motor, but the trans is
not. The car has been sitting in storage for a long time, though it
does run and drive, just not very well. The car came with some good
options like factory cruise control, AM-8 track, power disk brakes,
power steering, and of course the standard R/T options. It does have a
small amount of floor rust (See pictures) due to water sitting inside
from a tornado. Also, as you can see the driver quarter is missing.
The car was in a light fender bender back in the
80's and had a new quarter panel tacked on, but later in its life
it was struck by a tornado that ripped the quarter skin off the car
and was never found again. Other than the mentioned items, the car is
complete. It is not a rusty car, but has developed a few soft areas
from the inside because it sat for so long. Only 163 of
these 440 cars were produced. The great color combination and options make
this one worth putting together.
