| 1968-70 Dodge Charger |

1969 Charger R/T |
For the second time in as many years, Chrysler shocked the world and released
a new body style that was praised by the media and the customers. In
1967, Car and Driver said the Barracuda was by far the best looking car
out of Detroit that year, in 1968 they said the Charger was even better,
and a more visual stunning car then the Barracuda. The body style was based
on a series of wedges and it was a fresh new look, and it is still
regarded as one of the finest looking cars to come out of Detroit.
The relatively same body style stuck around through 1970, and then
changed. In 1969 the Charger 500 was introduced, which had a flush
grill, no hidden headlights, and a flush backlite. It was built
specifically for NASCAR racing, and was only offered with the 426 Hemi
that year. In 1970, one of the most visually striking cars ever was
introduced... the Charger Daytona. Which had a pointed nose, a high
wing and other cosmetic and performance changes.
